Alex Becker, MSW Intern in New York
I am a final-year MSW intern at The Relationship Suite and a student at New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, graduating in May 2027. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to support individuals and couples as they grow, heal, and deepen their relationships—with themselves and with others.
Since 2022, I’ve worked on the documentary series “Couples Therapy” where I had the unique privilege of guiding conversations with hundreds of couples, listening closely to their histories, conflicts, and hopes for change, advising and helping to decide on whether they would be a good fit for the series. I’ve also assisted psychotherapist and author Lori Gottlieb in shaping her forthcoming book, which deepened my interest in narrative meaning-making and the role of the clinician in helping clients access and rework the stories that shape their lives.
My approach is deeply collaborative. I bring curiosity, warmth, openness and offer nonjudgmental guidance using a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. I also hold a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Tisch School of the Arts, which brings a creative lens to my clinical work. Together, my goal is to help clients find ways of living a more authentic, and fulfilling life.
